Half Tide | 20 x 20 cm study

from $115.00

“Half Tide” really looks like is should belong in my upcoming collection of originals inspired by the ocean (some pictured), but the arrival of summer and the beach is far too exciting to wait until then!

At the beach that my family goes to, high tide is perfect for swimming at our local beach, or zooming across the harbour to our ‘secret-not-so-secret’ beach. But just because we can’t really do those things at low tide, doesn’t mean that we sit around and do nothing. Low tide is perfect for long walks along the beach, digging hot pools, floundering, and scalloping. This painting is of the harbour at half-tide. Its neither all the way in or all the way out. At this point, my cousins and I will look at what direction the water is flowing and make our plans from there.

This artwork is about rolling with the changes, rather than fighting them. We can’t always stop things from changing, like the tide, but we can make the most of those changes, and “ride those waves”.

Framing: Please note that framing stock can be variable. If your frame is not available, you will be refunded the price of the frame, and artwork shipped unframed. Frames may vary from those shown in the images.

Please Note: There are multiple ‘options’ for this artwork; framed and unframed. If one is out of stock, it is likely that the artwork is no longer available, and the other variants have not been adjusted yet. Please feel free to contact me to enquire about this.
