The Spring Garden Collection: original artworks & jewellery
The Spring Garden Collection is a series of original artworks and handmade jewellery by Monica Schinkel, inspired by a walk around the garden at her home in early spring. The garden was filled with beautiful flowers and birdsong, in a way which is both exciting, and soothing for the heart. The fresh air, bright colours, and grassy feet mark the end of the cold winter and spark an excitement for the joyous spring and summer months to come.
The Observer
The tui will watch you as you walk past his tree, or his other tree, or his favourite kowhai on the other end of the garden. He’ll sing to you while you pull weeds, and chat to you when you take the wheelbarrow past. When he’s happy that you’re not up to no good, he’ll flit off to check that nobody is stealing from his other tree.
